On a spacious area of around 2 acres, isolated from the nois of city life and its pollution, the premises of K. S. Gill Institute Of Education, Makha is situated on Raipur Road, VPO : Makha, Tehsil : Mansa, distt.: Mansa (Pb.). The campus is just 15 km from Distt. Headquarter : MANSA, and 15 km Mansa Railway Station (New Delhi – Bathinda trek).
Needless to say that its rich infrastructure in terms of its splendid building, well equipped Labs, rich Library, well furnished Class Rooms, Multipurpose Hall, Canteen, Open Play Grounds, Lush Green Lawns and all the other modern facilities like Computer Lab, Language Lab, Research Cell, Seminar Room and Sports Fields, well attract one and all to it. Here exists a spiritual aura in every nick and corner of the college.
A well furnished psychology lab equipped with more than 50 standardised psychological tests, inventories and apparatus to meet the demand of all educational courses. This lab helps in inculcating all theoretical and practical knowledge among the students in the fields of education.
A fully equipped and well maintained science lab with all the required apparatus, charts, models, chemicals etc for imparting knowledge to the pupil teachers according to the curriculum prescribed by the S.C.E.R.T., Punjab is maintained in Sant Sukhchain Singh Institute of Education, Dharampura.
Lab is equipped with all the material and apparatus, required for performing different activities as per the curriculum such as preparation of charts, models, models through waste material, clay etc, gardening and many more.
To meet the requirement of the pupil teachers as per the curriculum of E.T.T./ J.B.T./ D.El.Ed. course, there is a wide range of sports material / equipments, both for indoor as well as outdoor games facilities such as Cricket, Volley Ball, Hand Ball, Hockey and Foot Ball etc.
Participation in games is compulsory for the students. The selected candidates participate in the various competitions.
In case of emergency, to provide easy and fast help, First Aid Facility is established. Different types of basic medicines, ointments, chemicals and other facilities are made available in the college First Aid and Resource Room. Facilities are also available for the students with the special needs.
The college library is equipped with latest and wide range of collection of literature in the field of Education, Physical Education to cover the curriculum as per the SC.E.R.T., Punjab syllabus. There are about 3400 books made available in the library which includes syllabus books, encyclopedias etc. Regular subscription towards journals in the field of Education are made, so as to make these journals available for the staff and pupil – teachers in order to make them familiar with the latest development in the field. Six Newspapers in Punjabi/Hindi/English comes daily in the college for students. Magazines in the different fields to cover current topics etc are also made available in the library. Pupil – teachers are promoted and encouraged and are free to made the best use of the library and its resources. A seating capacity of 40 student-teachers is available in the library. The record of the books is maintained through computer. Book – Bank facility is also provided to the pupil – teachers and 2 library cards are issued to each and every student, to lend them books. Internet facility is available in the library with computer, printer and copier, to link the students with the renowned libraries of the world.
Well furnished and equipped with Sofa, Chairs, Curtains, Public Address System. Digital (HD) Projector, Over-Head Projector, Screens, Sound System etc. so that different Seminars can be organized. This Hall can be used to organize different functions, Parties, Get-Togethers as well on different occasions. This Hall can accommodate 500 persons / audience.
Well ventilated classrooms, furnished and equipped with good quality furniture, White Boards / Green Glass Boards, fans etc. A class constitutes cleanliness all around, hygienic and peaceful atmosphere. Good quality RO drinking water system with water coolers, Lush green campus, and full time power backup supported with generator etc, separate toilet facilities for boys and girls along with separate boys' and girls' common rooms with attached toilets add to make the pupil – teachers feel at home. Study in such a supportive environment brings good results.
